Great looking group of cars. Rick, the new wheels look great on your car. I think the Taupe Frost(?) is a great color.

In Rick's photos, Hank and Judy look disgruntled. That must be generic coffe in the cup Judy is holding.

Thanks Rick , it has been too long. I hope I can start making more events. Having 2 daughters keeps about every weekend tied up with something. My other daugther ( not in Black mountain today ) is in the band in her high school and they always have something happening. But I can't complain because they are so good. I'm proud to say we just found out last week that her band has been selected to play in the 2011 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Needless to say, I know where I'll be spending Thanksgiving next year!

Kathy and I had a great time. Always enjoy getting together with our PT friends (and Camaro friends). Thanks to all involved in putting this together.

Really nice weekend and the rain held off just as we were wrapping it up. Nice little town, great shops and restaurants. Until this was planned, I had no idea the town of Black Mountain existed, thought it was just a "hill" on I-40. Got to drive through Montreat too. Gorgeous place.

We made it back safely to Roanoke around 2:30 PM yesterday. I will admit that we had smiles on our faces left over from the weekend with our old PT Friends and our NEW PT Friends ;D I enjoyed the weekend very much and thank you Becky for your efforts. I will say that in my 10 years of doing PT stuff, I have never felt more welcome anyplace as we were in Black Mountain. The Chamber of Commerce and the downtown merchants were wonderful to us and seemed to really appreciate us being there. (That's not always the case !!!) I can't remember how many merchants asked us to please come back again. That was a reception anyone would be appreciative of. ( Becky, please post the "complaint" from one merchant...too funny)To the new PT Friends, I enjoyed meeting all of you and look forward to the next opportunity to cruise with you. In closing, why can't Becky stay out of trouble !!! (or is it she just loves uniforms ) Just had to add my photo of Bella guarding my PT. That was great of Kate to bring Bella around for all of us to get a photo of her with our cars.

I have to agree Carrol that the "Complaint" was a first for me!
While we were parking the cars we "adjusted" to space out the PT's. Well, there wasn't enough PT's to go all the way to the end of Cherry Street. One of the merchants was highly upset that THERE WAS NOT A PT CRUISER IN FRONT OF HIS STORE! Maybe next year we will have more cars and take up a couple of blocks!

This is for those of you that met Ree Breeden over the years with his Dream Cruiser that he loved so much. For those of you in Black Mountain, this was the reason for blowing our horns at 2:00 pm and having the black ribbons on our antennas. He sure will be missed by our club members. He had been a member since 2002. Thanks to all of you for participating in the memorial in Black Mountain.

Thanks for posting the info on Ree. Wish we'd met him. Ditto everything said above about Black Mountain. It all went by so quickly. But relaxing in my "reclining cruiser" in our den, and reflecting on the time there, I have to say,"What a bunch of great folks to fellowship with"!! I steered Mildred away from the VW to the PT, not realizing an extended family came with it!
Thanks Rick for posting the pics. maybe when I grow up I'll learn how to post them myself. Trouble is, I promised myself I'd never grow up!
