The Black Mountain Chamber of Commerce has invited the PT Cruisers to exhibit their PT's on Saturday, April 24, 2010. The PT's will line the streets of Black Mountain from 9:00 to 4:00.

For most of you this could be a day trip but for those traveling from out of town the host hotel is the SUPER 8 Motel (it was the only one there that had rooms available to block off for us PT'ers) and it is only about 3 blocks from the downtown area. 25 rooms have been blocked at $49.95 (King room +$5.00) Pet friendly with a $5.00 pet fee. Phone number is 828.669.8076. When reserving, refer to PT Cruiser Group and Neil (he blocked the rooms for us).

More cruise information will be available soon as soon as the Chamber of Commerce gets back to me and will post it when I get it.

We have several members already booked at the hotel and more to come. Can't wait to see "Bella" the dog again. What a smart dog. Looking forward to visiting with all of you.

Is the $49.95 rate the room rate with or without the taxes, etc.?

Becky - disregard above comment. I was looking at their web site and saw a lower rate but it was a non-refundable rate.

We are booked for two nights.

We just made reservations. This will be our first event and we're really looking forward to it. We really love the area and spent many days there on bikes. Can't wait to do it in the vert. Also look forward to meeting everyone.

We (Star City PT'ers) now have 17 people and 8 cars coming for the day or weekend. 2 are riding with others so will not have as many PT's as expected. Those of us driving down from Roanoke should arrive in Black Mtn. around 3:00 - 3:30 PM on Friday, 4/23. Maybe we can meet up with others arriving on Friday to have supper together. I would think we would plan on eating around 5:30 - 6:00 PM, but are flexible. Not sure what time the restaurants close in town....Becky may have checked that out. Seeya at the Motel.

A supper gathering would be ideal.
