We are going to the Auto Fair, wondering if we could meet up with some people heading that way? I would like to go down 321 to I-85 to Charlotte. We also need more PT Cruisers to fill the 20 spots. If anybody can make it Please do. I think it would be cool to make a strong showing

I'm wanting to sign up but hadn't seen anything from Ricky yet...is it only 20 spots this year?? Thought it was 30 last fall when I went...I"m up for it and we usually meet right across from the mall there. I'd like to meet somewhere for breakfast...course, I schedule all my events around food...lol...

I'm hoping my car is back from paint in time to clean it up.

Rick lost 10 spots due to not enough cars. Email Rick at ccptc@earthlink.net to let him know. He can put you on the list

I'm hoping to be able to make it. Told Rick I would let him know in a couple of days. This would be my first Autofair. Showing my car that is, been as an observer for years.

Yepper, and bring something comfortable to sit on, plus supplies for a long day. Still was enjoyable, but you spend a lot of time sitting. Hope they put us in the same place, that was totally comfortable and out of the sun.

And Rick won't be there this go around. I believe Shane is helping to run it this go around.

Concord Mills Mall - Exit 49 on I-85. Heading north on I-85, exit 49 ramp, at the top of the ramp at the light. . .right is Bruton Smith Blvd (formerly Speedway Blvd) which takes you to the speedway. Left is Concord Mills Parkway and takes you to the mall. Heading south on 85, same exit but left to the speedway, right to the mall. There's a "Steak and Shake" on the left sitting out at the street. We usually meet behind it in the mall parking lot. We're not the only club meeting there, there's several. The reason we meet close to 6:00, the parking passes are handed out and have to be attached prior to entering the speedway. The speedway now opens at 6:00 for the car clubs to start entering. They want us in and settled prior to the speedway opening at 8:00am to the general public. Used to be the speedway opened at 7:00 and the traffic getting in would bring the whole area to a standstill. So the sooner the better. It is an all day thing and like no other show you'll go to. No shows hurt us and possibly knocks someone else out that would like to go and attend. So we ask everyone that signs up to show up. Go to our AutoFair webpage at: www.carolinaptcruisers.com/AutoFair.htmand click and read the 3 links, rules one and two (speedway rules) and then our link on recommendations right below. We'll know soon where we'll be located at the speedway and that will determine if you need to bring a canopy or not, we'll let you know. Shane and I are setting it up but Shane will coordinate it the day of the show. I'll be in Louisville on, sort of a business thing. Those that have been may need to lead the pack or part of them into the speedway. Can't think of anything else right now. Read the above links on the webpage and if you have any questions, feel free to post them and one of us will answer. ps....some of the times shown on the links on the website are wrong. those are a few years old even though the info on them is the same.

I'll be in Louisville on, sort of a business thing. I read this as "I'll be in Louisville, laid up in a snazzy hotel room drinking margaritas".... did anyone else see it that way?

In Louisville, less than a mile from Churchill Downs; it's "Mint Juleps", not margaritas!
