Tom It takes us about 4 1/2 to 5 hours from Wilmington, and when I go to Charleston it takes me about 3 hours so it is pretty close to what mapquest gives you. Just so you will know, I am thinking of a more southerly cruise for next years. Maybe starting around Wilmington with a ferry ride over to Southport, maybe a park and cruise over to Bald Head Island for the biggest part of a day, seeing the lighthouse over by Oak Island, the winery down close to the state line and of course some Calabash sea food. Anyway, I will be taking notes for ideas.

Unfortunately the work "work" falls in there too. Have to work at a trade show.. standing in a booth 8 hours a day. Actually I was just there last week for a different trade show. Sure, the slot machines are on the way to the show floor, so you have to donate to them.

Tony, Enjoy the trade shows. I did that for several years in the field of medical research. Nothing like checing 50 - 100 boxes onto a plane, then getting baggage handlers to put them in the vehicle, then getting them where they belonged. Got to meet a lot of interesting people. However, the thrill of it all wears off real quick. Leave home for several days, home for two, out again. I sure cooked a lot of casseroles for my then-family.
Look me up Pam. Have I got travel stories that always seem to work out well. OK except for September 2001. Which could have been worse. Lennell
