Mark your calendars, July 16 we will host a Meet in Shalotte, NC. We will post more info later, but currently we are planning for either a Cruiser show or a Meet & Greet to be held at the Armory, with a run to Calabash for some great seafood and other ideas are in planning too.

Think it's spelled "Shallotte". Pronounced "ShoeRope" Folks this town is located off US17 Bypass half way between Wilmington and Myrtle Beach.

What do you expect from a transplanted Hoosier? Anyway, I would think that if someone needed an excuse to go to Myrtle Beach, Wilmington or just to get some Calabash seafood, this would be a good meet.

Well, I spent about 30 years there, but Becky is a home grown Hoosier. She was born and raised in Peru and we lived there and Bunker Hill till we came to the Carolinas in 1994.

OK, a bit more info on this meet. It will be held at the Armory, large lot in rear if sunny out, and if not, there is room inside for at least 30 cars. Restrooms! Air conditioning for those freckled faced Cruisers of ours. This will be a fund raiser for the Armory. A good excuse to support your troops! We are checking with some of the signature golf courses to see if they will donate rounds to be raffled off. Planning on dash plaques, trophies and fun. After the show, a cruise (about 15 miles) to Calabash for some great seafood and if you have a mind to some great shopping. Plus, if you feel like a run to Myrtle, it is only 25 miles or so away. Please let us know if you will attend. Trying to get a head count.

Thanks Dolan & Lena, I was pretty sure we could count on you. We did a quick run there yesterday and saw at least 20 to 25 Cruisers in the area. And, we were able to get some of that famous Calabash style sea food. I am hoping Dean Combs sees this post, because you know Dean...mention food and he is usually on -board.

The Christmas store is right around the corner from Captain Jacks where we plan to eat. Good to hear you will be there.
