Hey Tony , I live in Charlotte , hopefully you know the quickest route to Shallotte ? When I did a Mapquest plan , it seems to be taking the long route down 77 to 20 . Looking at my NC map , it seems like going 74 all the way to Whiteville and then 130 to Shallotte is better . It looks quicker but may be alot more small towns , traffic lights , slower speed limits , really don't know . Any thoughts Thanks

Any thoughts Thanks US74 from Charlotte to Whiteville is mostly 4 laned now...and it's quick. The NC130 from W'ville to Shallotte is country road but probaly will be better than going the longer way alternate of US74 to NC87 (or NC211) to US17. (US74 is a future Interstate and is built that way)
