Thank YOU for a wonderful time! Wendy & I had so much fun with all of our PT buddies, and made some new friends to. Even though the weather Friday night didn't cooperate, we wouldn't have m issed this for anything. Great job pulling it all together. Thank you for making it happen. All the best.

We had a blast Cruising the Smokies! Thanks Becky for making all of this happen! We really enjoyed the train ride and we also got to the see the model train museum. Both things we have been wanting to do for a very long time. Congratulations to Becky, Carrol and Mike for being awarded the PToholic's "Most Obsessed" award! It was wonderful to be with our PT Cruiser friends again! Can't wait for CTS5! ;D Here are some pictures I hope everyone enjoys!

Well, just as I expected, that was a great cruise weekend. Thanks for all your work Becky......we sure do appreciate it. Great to see everybody again. Each time we get together with all of you, I am reassured that PT'ers are just "good people" that love to have fun in a "PT format" Can't wait to look at the picture albums you all posted. All I can say is WOW what a weekend! Thank you everybody for the kind words and I’m so glad everyone had a good time. The work that went into putting Cruise The Smokies IV together was well worth the effort seeing you all laughing and having a good time. It amazed me seeing everyone standing in the hallways laughing during the rain while the cookout was being moved inside… and cramming 120 people into a hot room (designed to hold 50) to eat (2 hours late), give out announcements, awards and door prizes, and still managing to laugh. It just goes to show that PT Cruisers are the best! With that said, I want to recognize a very special PT Cruiser that was among us. Rick Starets (Fzydice) of New Jersey. Some of you may have met Rick on Friday, but for those of you who didn’t, let me tell you, this Cruiser has a heart as big as Texas. Rick assisted the hotel staff and caterer in moving the cookout inside, then proceeded to cook the hotdogs and hamburgers for the group. (Remember the guy with the bandanna on his head? That was not a hotel employee or the caterer but your fellow cruiser!) Rick had to leave before dawn on Saturday morning and head back to New Jersey for an emergency and didn’t get to parade to Bryson City, NC or ride the train with the group. Whether I plan Cruise the Smokies V on my own or it’s a group effort, what I’m about to say will happen: Rick, you make the trip and you will have a free ride on the train for you and your guest (should you decide to bring somebody). Thank you for all your help. Additional thanks to Lou who helped with registration; Darryl and Wanda who sold LOADS of 50/25/25 tickets; Cathy Hayes, Kathy Walsak and Ruth Harney for helping with cookout setup and door prizes; and Lennell Herbert-Marshall for providing box lunches. Gosh, my brain is still foggy from the weekend so if I forgot anybody, please know that your help was greatly appreciated and I thank you! Last (but not least), thank you to all who attended Cruise The Smokies IV. Your support for this event was overwhelming and I love you all dearly! For those of you that like stats, here you go: The final count was 84 PT’s in attendance representing 17 states and Canada. Cliff and Ruth Harney from Wichita Falls, TX received the Farthest Distance Driven Award, traveling 1040 miles. 50/25/25 Winners were Steve & Mary Westgate of Winter Haven, FL ($400), Beverly Green of Pinson, AL ($200), and Alvina Caldwell of Erlanger, KY ($200). I did manage to get my pics posted, so here you go community.webshots.com/album/346944899tVPVnE
