This is just too wild and has exceeded all of my expectations! We now have 48 PT’s signed up from 15 States: AL, CA, GA, IL, MI, MO, NC, NJ, NY, OH, SC, TN, TX, VA and WA. Ed Taylor has designed the dash plaque for us and it can be seen on the PTCC Event’s Forum thread for “Cruise The Smokies IV”. The other Forums won’t let me post pics that are not located on the web and I don’t have a webpage. Now, to decide how many dash plaques to order LOL! Thanks Ed, it looks great! Ok, I knew it would happen but I didn’t think it would happen so soon! All the hotel rooms at the Open Hearth (Homestead House) are booked (there are no rooms left). I did find another hotel right next door to the Open Hearth (Homestead House). We have a block of 17 rooms at the Comfort Inn On The River for the same rate of $60.00 per night. Their webpage is www1.choicehotels.com/ires/en-US/html/HotelInfoGeneral?hotel=TN332&sid=a8OR.EE__2ghO7.1 There phone number is 865-436-5047. Reservations must be made no later than April 13, 2005 or you will be charged the regular rate after that date. Be sure to tell them you are with the PT Cruisers to get the special rate. Refer to their webpage for additional information and directions. For the Saturday 4.5 hour train excursion, plan on packing a picnic lunch to bring on the train. There is a 1 hour stop at the Nantahala Gorge which has an observation area, picnic area and snack bar. We will have a picnic there at 1:00.

Hi Becky:
Wendy and I are coming to Cruise the Smokies!! Can't do Daytona because of client engagement. So--here we come! Plaque is cool. We'll meet up with someone to cruise over--maybe Carrol/Marcye or any GSO cruisers that want to go.
See you soon... Wendy & Richard PT4U2C

John/Nancy & Carrol:
Let's pan to meet somewhere and cruise over together. We just reserved a room today so we are at the Comfort Inn next door. Don't know which PT we'll take--depends on getting the stack of mods off the floor of the garage and installed. Too much traveling already this year--can't get a free, untired moment!! See you soon.

I think the Guardian Angel of PT Cruisers is giving me a helping hand! We are up to 52 PT's now, and I just added Canada to the list of attendees!
Ok, are you ready for another update?
The Open Hearth Hotel (aka Homestead House) just gave us 30 more rooms! Aparently the convention that has booked almost the entire hotel isn't getting a very good response and they have released the rooms for us to have! That gives us 65 rooms at the host hotel and is enough rooms for everyone that is currently signed up to go and a few extra.
Thanks to everyone that has already signed up! It does make the planning so much easier to arrange for places to go, door prizes, dash plaques, etc...
