Hey Mark, planning on being at the Thomasville EMS car show in a couple of weeks. Need to know the exit number off of I-85. Anyone that wants to go, we can meet at I-85 and Hwy. 311 in High Point and go together like last year.

Yeah, I had something they called BBQ in Riverdale on Hwy 85 just south of the airport. Never seen chitlins on a menu either. But hey, if it works for them!? Also went to a BBQ place in Miami and ate something, not sure. Nothing like good ole NC BBQ. My brother says BBQ is like sex, it's all good, some just better than others. He obviously hasn't eaten BBQ outside of NC.

Now, now Rick. There is some good bbq outside of NC. Not much mind you. And only from folks that have been properly educated!

Nope - nothing anywhere better than - Tommy's BBQ. My husband has been to known to drive 4 hours each way just to get their BBQ and that great vinegar slaw! Guess he won't be doing that much since gas has skyrocketed.

Frank, sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you, been busy lately and don't check in as often. The exit off of I-85 is Exit 103. Assuming your traveling South bound on 85, take the 103 exit, turn left at the bottom of the ramp. Go to the traffic light in front of Kmart and turn right. Travel about 3/4 of a mile, Fair Grove School is on your left. I hope to see you there. Did you get a mailing about the show?

Rick, believe it or not, the best Bar-B-Que I have ever had was in Chicago. The place is called Smokey Bones, its a chain outfit. If I'm not mistaken, there is one close to you, up around the speedway/pavalion area.
Have you ever eaten there?

You need to come join us for Cruising the Pig II in Sept and try some of mine!

Mark, it's right up the road from me on Harris Blvd in Charlotte. Been there and been to the one in Indianapolis & Columbus GA as well. They are good but they are a chain. Lots of good BBQ out there from small mom & pop restaurants not to mention whole pigs smoked in Tom's back yard. ;D
