I get off at 5 but I might could meet you down somewhere for the Denver meets sometimes. I will let you know and we'll go down there. It'd take me about an hour to get there so it would work out just right.

It would take me the same amount of time. I don't really get home from work and get the dog walked until at 5:45 so It would be 6 or 6:30 before I could really be anywhere. I think from my house to the BBQ place was about an hour. I pretty much live right with Highway 150 and 16 cross. Let me know whenever you want to go we can meet you there. Now if we can get Mike to come over from Huntersville...  Anne |

Are you still going Anne on the 24th to the Denver thing? I am planning to go and I think I might have a couple of others coming too if I hear back from them soon.

Yep the 24th. I'll meet you there. Highway 16 and 73 at Bojangles. Just finsihed updating the spark plugs and wires boy what fun. Now I have to contend with the new air filter that of course doesn't fit exactly right..... |

Parking Lot has Flooded (Again) so the cruise in has been cancelled at 16 and 73. So we will just have to try and reschedule. I come by there on the way home at 5 so I'll see if anything has changed.

Not sure how current this is but last year I got this info from my Corvair Club, for cruisins on Sat's in the Raleigh/Durham area.
1st Sat Char-Grill (Raleigh Atlantic Ave)
2nd Sat Hardees (Rolesville )
3rd Sat Grill 57 (Garner)
4th Sat A&W (Raleigh Western Blvd)
1st Sun Miami Subs (I think it says Gourney)
Its on the back of a businees card pretty wore out. They run Memorial to Labor day as far as I know.

I know it may be a haul for some of you, but there is a cruise- in starting tomorrow night -7-3-04 in downtown Kannapolis on "idiot Circle" in Cannon Village.It will be on the first Sat.night of each month this summer.For people outside the area,idiot circle got its name in the 60's and 70's from guys cruising around downtown k-town to meet girls and just hang out.Some of the oldtimers,my age, are trying to revive it.It will be from approx.6:00 after the Canon Village stores close until 9:00 or later.

Which exit would you take or how would I get there from Charlotte? Not too far for me. Did K-town not impose some sort of cruising law? I know one of these towns around Charlotte did or I thought so anyway.

The event is a cruise and car show . Its free and some of the organizers are members of the GOODGUYS Rod and Custom Club.It has blessing of the city and some shops will have extended hours.The hope is to draw more business and exposure to the Cannon Village stores.
To get there from Charlotte ,you can take I-85 N to us 29 exit -exit 52- I think ,go north on 29 to third stoplight-turn left .You will see signs for Cannon VIllage.It is only about 1 1/2 to 2 miles off 29.You can also go I85 1 more exit to Dale Earnhardt blvd -nc #3- go left at top of ramp and follow nc3 to downtown.

You're right about crusing laws-my hometown -Concord has one,so now the kids have to go to COncord Mills and hang out.
Not sure but probably no go if it rains.

Been to Cannon Village several times, real nice there around Christmas. But I never remember how I got there.
We made the mistake of going to Concord Mills one Saturday night. Had no idea there were so many Hon.das in the area. And I thought my PT had a loud exhaust....WHEW. We don't live but maybe 20 minutes from there, no more Saturday nights there for us.

Good guys car show and cruise in again in downtown Kannapolis tomorrow night.Last month they had DJ playing oldies and vendors selling dogs and burgers but not sure about these this month. Starts around 6:00 and continues until 9:00 or after.Great weather forcast this time .
