Does any of the central area PT`s ever go up to High Point on the weekends? I remember back in my single days, that`s where I used to cruise! A friend of mine told me they still cruise, it would be neat to get a group of PT`s together one Saturday night, and show them what`s it all about!  |

I work in High Point and the cops have sorta cracked down on Saturday night cruising. There is a weekly car show on Thursday night on South Main Street beside Sonic. All kinds of cars are there. We had about 7 PT's there a few weeks ago. Maybe you can make it one night. Frank

we have one in Salisbury on Wednesday nights too, it`s all old cars now, but they never look down on us for hanging out up there, after all we are retro! I any of you want to come down here one wed night, let me know, it`s real easy to get to, it`s in a Kmart parking lot

Sounds good to me Jeff.
Here in Valdese, there is a 50's style place that hosts a cruise in every friday night from 5 until about 9 or 10. And up the road is a place that does the same thing. I went a couple weeks ago was the only Cruiser there and lots of people were amazed with mine. Plus when the sun went down and I turned all the lights on, they loved that! So, if anyone is interested just let me know and maybe we could meet up somewhere and ride in together. It gets crowed fast so the earlier you go the better chance we have of getting in and parking together. The other place has a big parking lot so its not as bad but equally cool.

Also cruise in for street rods,muscle cars,etc. in Concord on Tues. nights from approx. 6:30 until dark behind Burger King on US 29 S. {COncord Parkway}

To bad we can't find someplace in Mooresville, Hickory or that general area to hang out on Friday nights. A bunch of the old cars and some new ones use to hang out at the Burger King on highway 16 and 73 intersection. Burger King closed and Bojangles took over. I'll have to keep my eye out to see if they still have the show. Would be great just to chill on a Friday or Saturday night.

There is a 50s place in Valdese that hosts a cruise in every friday night during the summer. Starts around 5 and last until everyone leaves. Its pretty cool. I was the only PT there so more would be great to have.

I can't make it to Valdese on Friday until about 6:30 or 7PM. I would like to try however. You going to be there this Friday June 11? Where/Who is it? From I-40. I'll catch 40 in Hickory and come out that way.

I won't be able to meet there this friday or next friday but i will let you know when i could. I'm gonna be out of town those weekends. But I can get you some directions and we could meet up somewhere and ride in together.

Well its not Saturday nights but I did find these two events. They are not PT's but will welcome us just the same.
Cruise in at Bojangles every Thursday night from 6PM-9PM. Intersection of Highway 16 and 73 in (Near) Denver, NC. No car club affiliation
Cruise in with "Good Ole'Boys Street Rodders" at Poppa's hotdogs . Port Villiage Shopping Center on Highway 150 in Mooresville across from Lowes. 6PM-9PM. Exit 36 off I-77, make a left at the top of the ramp. Port Village is on the right behind First Charter.
Let me know if anyone is interested in going. I'll be glad to meet you there.
