I found a very interesting website devoted to North Carolina roads....this site describes ALL roads in NC, current and historically. So, if you are like me, and prefer the backroads...this is a good place to plan a private cruise.... go here... www.ncroads.com/index.html

A few cruises I've thought about:
1) Having a cruise in in Climax NC. Couldn't you see the t-shirts now, "We reached Climax in our PT Cruiser". Susie wasn't real fond of that one.
2) A Pickle Cruise In. Yes...a cruise in and tour of the Mt Olive Pickle Company.
3) And I still want to have a cruise in at Mt Airy and see and do all the Mayberry stuff there.

hey tom,
on the innuendo cruise you could stay on I40 (inner loop, south side) in raleigh, drop down route 1 to 64w and hit "liberty" before climax ;D

Hey Tom, you could drive west and go through Horneytown. Yes, thats really the name of it. A couple of NASCAR teams have their shops there.

You know...I could see it now...all of our posts on the national club sites would be deleted if we had a cruise to involve all these towns. As soon as we started mentioning these names...the thread would be locked and words deleted.

Rick is probably right. Between all the words, and all the "innuendo" posts that would naturally follow, we'd end up being banned from every major board in the country! But you gotta admit, it's a "fun" idea! ;D
