hey cruiser buddies!!
getting ready to re-apolster the interior doors (the cloth part) and used to look at the ptdoityourself web for info but they've gotten so big that it looks like you have to subscribe to view "do it yourself" stuff - unless i read it wrong or hit the wrong link (if wrong please show me how)...so i'm looking for your input.
i talked to a guy today about re-apolstering the front and back door side panels and he said "oh yeah, that'll be nothing, take out these two screws (meaning the door handle screws) and pop out the panel" my eye brows shot up in surprise. if i recall correctly, the entire door panel has to be removed inorder to change the color of the fabric by the door handle. am i completely off on this? he's giving me a really good price for what he thinks he has to do to get it done and i don't want him to get in there and then discover he has alot more work ahead of him and him get the raw end of the stick or charge me more. any input on this?

PT DIY is now a membership, pay site. They changed over a couple weeks ago.
I have been planning this same mod myself. You do have to remove the whole door panel. Those smaller center sections apparently have plastic pins that were hot melted in. All you have to do is carefully drill that melted plastic out and that panel pops out. And according to everyone that's done it, the arm rest and screws hold it in place when you replace it.
