Wally and Mrs Wally live in the surburbs of Kelly, in Bladen County between White Lake and Burgaw, or between Wilmington and Fayetteville. Our "town" has a general store and a post office. No stop lights, no speed bumps, and occasionally a NC highway patrol car, hardly ever have I seen a sheriff car, we're dry, we have no Walmarts, no city lights, and a couple hundred local residents not too close together summer or winter. We have a farm but don't farm, we have a forest, but only for firewood. The buzzards are abundant, and deer visiting nightly. The closest gas station is 25 miles (unless you're ok with paying out your nose), as is the "old style" Walmart. Wilmington is about 40 Miles, Fayetteville 60.
We have the only Two PT's in town.....lol. ;D

Hey Rick & Debbie and welcome aboard. We're in Charlotte, northeast, not far from the UNCC area. Hope you sign up and can make our Christmas meet in December. And unlike Wally's post above, we are in civilization but I don't consider that much of a blessing except of course when you want to shop, buy gas or eat or visit neighbors. And we too have a few foxes, "dears" and some old buzzards in our neighborhood. ;D

My wife Sandy and I live just south of Winston Salem. We have two sons, one is 20 going on 10, the other is 14 but thinks he is 21. The youngest is into sports, mainly baseball, and does quite well at it.
Both Sandy and I work for the City of Thomasville. She is over the Billing and Collections Division for the water and sewer departments. I am Operations Chief of the fire department.
I ordered our cruiser in late 2001 as a suprise for Sandy, and we took ownership in February 2002. We both love the styling of the cruiser and the attention that it draws. We have met a lot of good folks through attending meet and greets when time allows.

Well, as already noted, Debbie and I live in Gastonia. We have 3 grown daughters and 6 grandchildren ranging in age from 3 months to 11 years old. I am currently unemployed, but looking, and Deb has been with Freightliner for 25 years. I am a Vietnam vet of the 101st Airborne and organized and attended a reunion of my old platoon at the Wall in DC this past May. Currently I have located over 50 of my guys including the Battallion commander (a retired Major General) and 2 of our company commanders. It is a labor of love for me to once more connect with those guys.
I am a member of SASS and ejoy shooting guns (not hunting), golf on occasion, computers and watching the Tarheels basketball team (I hope they are better this year). I also enjoy movies and watching tv.
Hope to catch up to you guys real soon.

RickC, I too am a Vietnam vet. Served with 2nd batallion 9th Marines up in Dong Ha and Gio Linh way back in '67. Was a radioman (good target) and got hit three times in one day. Been to the Wall myself several times. Very quiet and emotional place isn't it? Anyway, glad you came home!

PT, my time frame is the same as yours, specifically 11/69 to 10/70. I was with 3/506th 101st ABN Div. We were opconned to the 4th Div. in early '70 out of An Khe. As a matter of fact, we went into Cambodia while working with the 4th. Welcome home, Tony and PT.
