IF YOU DONT LIKE STREET RACING DO NOT READ THIS POST!
I was driving down the interstate and I had a no-good-ricer Accord and a Tiburon fly by me, look and then slow down. They evedently thought they were hot ****. Well, the mistake they made was leaving me a lane to get in the middle. So, I roll in the middle and rev. Well the no-good-ricer tries to take off, that was an easy can of whipass. Then the Tiburon, didnt do to bad between 70-90 but afterwards it was over. Well, we got caught up in traffic and he would keep switching lanes but always ends up getting back behind me. When will the youth (as in young in driving skills) ever learn to study the road ahead before making any moves?

I hear that. I always look ahead to see what's happening before I move to race somebody or just to keep them behind me.

Thank you, you will not believe what all people are saying to me on the other forum. They keep telling me that it kills people and can hurt people. I told them we, the street racers, know what it can do. They are all older people (no offense to other older people). Im glad someone else can post and agree with me.

Been there, done that. Experienced all the dangers of 'drag racing', and paid through my nose with tickets and insurance costs....40 years ago. I'd tell you that it's really not worth it, but you'd never listen, just as I didn't in my time.....so, it's your turn to learn.
I'm just cruisin' nowdays.

Did my share of road racing as well but with cars like Duster 340's, Lancia's, BMW's and LeMans'. Bigger engines, more power. You win some...you lose some. Doing it in traffic on public streets, it's as much luck as skill because you can never predict what the cars up ahead are going to do. You can hope but in the end, you are at their mercy. A sudden lane change can cut you off or worse. Not that I don't still do it when the occasion arises, but I'm a lot more selective now on who and where. It's amazing what an additonal 30 years of driving experience will do for you.

See that is what I am talking about, on the other forums they will lecture and complain about it but not say that they did it or still do. They go on and on about how bad it is. Your right, its really up to the other people ahead, but the majority of the time they really are not in the way. Race safely by not doing stupid stuff like cutting people off or riding their ass. People need to learn not to complain about things they dont like, it takes up their time complaining. Thats alot of time to waste on something you dont like.
