Have any of you had this problem with your cars? I'm leaning towards altenator/regulator.?

I would check your grounds (follow the wires to the fender bolts) and make sure they are tight and very clean. Clean the battery cables and make sure they are tight. Our cars have bad grounds to begin with using to small dia. wires and don't take much to get weird stuff happening.
