I've read that in the general population of car on the road in the US there are only 5% manual transmission vs 95% automatic. I wonder what the split is for the PT Cruiser ?
Little Tidbit: Manual cars are least stolen, most criminals don't know how to drive them.

I was hoping for some authority to tell me, not just vote like a fan vote on American Idol.

When we got our PT, it was going to be (and was) my wifes main car and she doesn't drive a stick. I can drive a stick but have to admit the automatic is nice. Have had several sticks in the past and one had a pretty heavy clutch and in bumper to bumper traffic; it sucks.

Mine is a manual. You should have made the poll so people were telling whether theirs was manual or auto. This would give you an idea of the ratio.
