Many of you may know or remember Don Kinney. He drove an early green PT and would set up an elaborate train track in the back during a show. Woke up this morning to this email from his daughter.

For those of you who have not heard, my father, Don Kinney, gave up his fight with cancer Monday afternoon. It was a battle he chose not to continue so he took his own life. Dad completed 8 weeks of chemo and radiation but the fight was too much for him.
My family has just arrived in Ellerbe and my brother Ric will join us tomorrow. Arrangements are still pending but will probably be Friday.
Thank you for your friendship and all you have done for Dad and our family. We ask for your prayers as we work through this difficult time.
Blessings.

Don was one of the early members of the Carolina PT Cruisers. He was very enthusiastic about our club and little car. Him and a few others actually started and created what is now “Return To The Beach”. He was also one of the planners for both of the “Zoo Cruise” cruise-in’s we had in Asheboro. Don moderated a few online newsgroups offering his computer savvy for those needing help or having questions. I sure hate to hear this news. May God be with his family at this time.
