I know this is going to sound stupid but I was wondering how to make an avatar, I am not really computer savy. Help (ha) Steve

Hi Steve. Go to the "Profile" link in the bar across the top, then go into the "Modify Profile" section of that. You will see a field for an Avatar URL. You will place the URL (http://...) in that field that points to the image file you want to load. The hard part is finding the file you want to load. If it's one of your own photos, you'll have to place it somewhere online that is accessible as well as make sure it is small enough that the software here on the forum will display it.
Let us know if you need more help, because there are other issues to deal with as well.

As you can see I FINALLY got my avatar. Now I have a question for some of you computer brains. If I have pictures on my computer. where can you go to find out the location of them. I would like to look up where that is. I had to go to car domain because I don't know what they have set up but they have an upload key that took me right to my pics and that is all I had to do. Help?  ?? |

Not sure about the location on your computer but you might want to edit the display width of you avatar photo to get rid of the squished look. Just make the "Avatar width" a bit higher until you get it looking right. You can also bump up the width so we can get a better view. You need to show that thing off!

I changed it a bit I think that looks a little better and is about as big as I can make it. It REALLY makes me nervous messing with it now(ha) I am afraid I am going to lose it.
