One of our cruiser friends here in TN had a flat on his '06 and when he went to put the spare on it only had 4 bolt holes instead of 5. You may want to look under the rear of your PT just to be sure that the right spare is there before you need it.

Very good idea, im betting most people here have never had theirs out (including me) and it would be bad if you had a flat then found out. Also make sure you have the proper socket if your running wheels locks or different type lug nuts (dont ask me how i know on that one )

Never ever want to use those things.
In fact I bought 2 X 17 inch wheels and carry them in the back of both PT's behind the rear seat. May take up a little room but I feel so much better having them instead of those wheelbarrow wheels underneath in the spare tyre carrier.

Do you know if this person bought their PT new or used? The factory where they came from only made PT's so no 4 lug wheels would have been used. And even Chryslers other small cars they had/have had 5 lugs (Caliber, Neon). Could have been swapped out by the previous owner or dealer for whatever reason.

They did get it used from a Chrysler dealer but so did I. Gotta love those dealers. Dealer is going to be getting a new spare for them they hope.

Hmmm... time to have the tires rotated anyway so I'll have them check the spare for me. Thanks for the tip Gordon!
