OK...problem solved...seems there was a loose 40 lb bag of pool salt sliding everywhere in the back ( I'm using the PT more as a damn TRUCK than a showcar nowadays!) & it wedged itself against the window buttons on the floor console!
Sorry for the false alarm! ;D

I use the lockout on the master switch to keep things like this from happening, not the first time I've seen this happen.
