My 2003 dreamcruiser is making a strange noise. When the car is cold and I accelerate to 45 it makes a noise like I am running over those bumps on the side of the highway. Has this happened to anyone else and does anyone know what the problem might be?

What shape are the tires in Lisa? Much tread left on them? My original Goodyears began making a lot of noise as the tread wore down. Sometimes tires get "flat spots" on them from sitting out in the cold and until they warm up and round out, may make a noise and ride rough.

Check your rear lower control arm bushing I just replaced mine in the 04 at 120,000. They get hard & start to break off in chunks as they are rubber

Thanks for the info. Rick my tires are new so I don't think that's it. Catinpt the noise comes from the front of the car under my feet. Is there a bushing in the front?

The lower control arms are in the front and the rear bushing is just about under your foot

No not really-we thought it was the tires and it seemed everytime they were low on air and my husband put air in it would stop but not anymore? He had the front end looked at and the mechanic said everything was fine so we are still stumped?

I would guess that your lower control arm bushings might be bad. When braking, the alignment goes out affecting the toe in of the tires, wearing the tread in a "feathered" manner and causing the moaning. My tires are doing the same thing, bad control arm bushings. The PTs are notorious for this problem. I replaced mine with poly bushings.

It sure sounds like my car's noises. Is this an expensive repair?

If you just replace the whole control arms with something like Moog parts, It can be several hundred dollars just for parts. If you elect to just get new bushings, you'll need some time and effort to clean out the old OEM bushings to make way for the new ones which can translate to some dollars in labor too. You'll also need an alignment after it gets put back together.
In my case, I had already replaced the OEM bushings with Energy Suspension Polyurethane bushings, but a few really hard hits to some pot holes and a bad "made in china" replacement axle did those bushings in as well. This time I am going with the Prothane bushings. Their design is a little different and I'm hoping they last a bit longer.
