I have had some people ask about a possible Biltmore Cruise for this year. I'd like to see if there is any interest before I call or try to plan anything. It has also been mentioned that maybe we go later (When its cooler) in the year. Christmas time at Biltmore is beautiful.
Any interest? Would Mid November or Early Dec. work better or not at all? Nov. 14 or Dec. 5

Either weekend is good for me. Isn't Nov 14th the weekend before the Hendrix Show? Maybe Dec 5 would be better to put a little space between them. Just a thought. Becky

OK so I talked to the Group Sales person at Biltmore today. Bad news first..... November and December are out. No chance at parking out front and no private tours etc. why because the house is open extended hours for Christmas.
The good News.... is we can still go and do like we did last year, park out front, new tour etc. but it will have to be Saturday October 31st. We will likely not stay at Howard Johnsons again. I am going to check the Double Tree across the street. So any interest for Oct. 31st. ?

OK we have moved it back to November 14th. This is kind of a Free for all Biltmore Cruise In. Since it is decorated for Xmas the only requirement is that the Tour of the house happen at 3:30pm and it is the Self Guided tour so you can take as much or as little time as you wish. The Winery, Gardens etc are whenever throughout the day you would like to tour. They do have the shuttle buses that run between all of them so you should only have to park once. I will send the Biltmore Registration Document to Rick to post on the Calendar page. Tickets will be $46 for the Day, and I will see about a hotel later this week but I can say we will not be using Howard Johnson's like last time. If you do decide to go please send me a note as to who and how many so I can keep a tally. If anyone wants the form in advance email me at dzzydvl65@yahoo.com with your email address and I'll send it to you.

Date of Arrival: 11/13/09 Date of Departure: 11/15/09 Type of Room: 20 QQNS Cost of Room: $79.99 plus tax per night Tax: 10.75 % You will have a 30 day prior to day of arrival cancellation policy with the hotel to reserve rooms within the group block and/or to cancel any rooms not needed or they will go back into inventory. The guest, once they reserve, will have a 24 hour prior to day of arrival cancellation policy. Note: If your group will be held with a credit card or other payment arrangements until day of arrival, notify the hotel with this information and be sure to keep in touch to make payment arrangements and contacting them with a rooming list. You can have your guest call 800.214.8378 or online at www.guesthoustintl.com to reserve their reservation under the group block name: When calling like I did today, use the Carolina PT Cruiser name to get the rate. Sorry but to block the group the rooms have two Queens, no Kings. Their weblink is wrong..... I would just call.

Dizzy, the whole family wants to come on this one. What's the price for kids? And do they have handicapped access? My younger daughter is in a wheelchair. I can call the hotel direct and find out what kind of handicapped rooms they will have available, if any, just wondered if I have to pay the same amount for kids.

The reduced price includes kids. Sorry... and yes they do have handicap access, Even though Biltmore was build in 1895 it does have an elevator. You can arrange when you enter the house to have the tour that is a little shorter for the wheel car access. The main floors can be navigated via wheel chair but the wings may not be. You will have free reign of the mansion and most of the staff will help in anyway possible to make your stay a memorable one.
