Well after finally getting the supercharger to stop breaking belts it has now, SEIZED. Just wanted to know if anyone has heard of or had this problem.Whipple won't work on it because they no longer make them and now I have a beautiful cruiser that won't move. If anyone knows what it will take to make the motor stock again, that would help to.

Probably not going to bother with it, the Supercharger ruined the motor, the car is SHOT! Looks like I have a real pretty planter for my back yard now

Are you sure it was the supercharger that did it? Could it have been the motor seizing up first? The reason I say that, I understood if the supercharger quit working, the car would still run. Slow but would run.

I have heard from some others that this has happened to, the Rotor Drive Gears go and shoot metal and debris into the motor and you are left with a lovely flower planter. You can run the motor without a belt on the supercharger but if the gears in the Supercharger go then nothing spins and there is no air moving through, let me tell you it comes to an abrupt stop, LOL

Is the car worth putting another motor in it? Ebay or a good salvage yard has them around 5 to 7 hundred dollars.

Yep, the motors are a lot less expensive in most cases than buying a set of wheels and tires. Get you a good GT turbo engine!!!

Yea. your car is way too nice to make a planter out of. I'd try to find a cheap motor out of a wrecked PT.Good luck Reagan.

I finally heard back from Lysholm, they are the makers of the supercharger now, Whipple no longer deals with them at all. Anyway apparently they are going to try to make good of what happened. I will let you know what come of this, hopefully a 4x4 supercharged PT, Johns dream car.
