OK what I have going on is on Christi's 2004 Pt her engine oil light keeps coming on and dinging. When she told me about it she was about a half quart low and so was the PT( I Know I'll pay for that) Aways I did an oil change and topped off all the fluids, and it's still doing it. I looked at it today and it happens at idle speed and stops when it goes up above 2000. Looked it up in manual and they said do oil pressure check. Anyone done this yet? And could it just be a bad sending unit? Ideas? I hate to keep driving it like this but right now we're working different times and she has to drive it.

My guess is the sending unit. I had to replace mine a while back. When the car was cold, it would come on at startup. After turning the car off then back on, it went off.

Sent you a PM Rocky My car was doing the same thing. Your Right Brian it does have something to do with the sending unit but there is a fix without having to replace it.

I was wondering if that solved your problem Rocky. I haven't had any other problems either, so it must work. I'm going to have Sandy's done when the oil gets changed next.

So what did you do to fix it?

Basically to make a long story short ,we pulled the extra plug out of the oil sender to let the pressure out.
