Here's a good one for you...
The wife's 06 GT with 22,000 miles developed a mysterious oil leak Monday. Got under the car and looked around & could see that the oil appeared to be coming from the lower front area of the engine. Filter looked good and oil pan plug was tight.
Took it to the dealer today and got word that the crankshaft thrust bearing is wore out causing excessive end play which is causing the oil leak at the front seal. So the cylinder block and all internals will be replaced.
Thank goodness it was still under warranty ;D
And what's really funny is last weekend I was planning to do an oil change(Mobil1 Synthetic), something came up and I didn't get to it. That would have been a big waste of money!

Glad it has worked out well (except no use) for you tom. Could be MUCH worse.

So far no problems. Seems that everything went back together fine & dandy.
