My wifes 2003 GT's transmission has been acting up. It isnt slipping, but it isnt shifting right either. When you leave from a stop it seems sluggish, then it doesnt shift unless you let off the gas. Is there a vacum module on these tranny's. She has an automatic with the "auto stick". When in auto stick, it shifts just like all ways. No codes have shown up. The car has 84310 miles on it.

Have you driven it hard? Floored it alot and let it shift automatically? The '03 turbos have a history of anto-trans issues, especially those with Stage I. Internal components are notoriusly weak, and don't hold up to the turbo revs. Much on the threads about this, both here and other PT sites.

Not really. The wife drives the car, she kinda zooms around, but I wouldnt say she has her foot to the floor all the time.

Well the transmission is fine. Turbo is out (4th one for the car) along with the head gasket, injector #3, map sensor, etc.... All together $4300. I know alot of you love these cars, and I appreciate the help I received here, but I hate this car. Wish I hadnt gotten the turbo option. Thought of trading, but I believe the house AC just quit, so that answered that question quickly.

Something else is wrong, blocked oil or coolant passage maybe? The other case is a guy who runs at the drags with 22psi of boost on the stock turbo. He is on his 3rd I think. Sorry to hear of all the troubles. Brian

Brian is right...
Very, very seldom do you hear of the turbos failing on these cars. Something strange (and rare) is definitely causing that to happen.

First one, clogged oil line (we think), second one (less than a month old) crapped out because of oil line wasnt flushed before installed (dealer paid for that one). I can say on this one, no bearing squeal like the last one. they are replacing head gasket, intake gasket, oil line, and turbo.

So sorry about this. I can understand the disdain for this car. Turbos raerly fail and if they do it's often oil suppy or damaged blades (low oil, frequent high RPM shut-down), or defective materials. There are several complete turbo engines on Ebay for less than your quote, and some turbo units complete. Worth a thought. Good luck.
