Not real interested in buying a turbo strut bar for $239. I've read where people have modified the solenoid bracket to make one of the much much cheaper non-turbo bars work.
What have folks here been doing?

I know of at least one person who simply bought a non turbo cruise control bracket and tucked the solenoids back in the corner of the engine compartment. No cutting at all. You can also cut out a section of the bracket to clear the strut bar.

It's too easy - I wish I'd never paid for the turbo bar, because the mounting bracket they sent was exactly like mine, and you could tell they'd just taken a metal saw and cut out for the bar. It's a simple mod if you've got a good saw. Somewhere I have a photo detailing the cutout, if you're interested.
