I put on a AVS Simulated Duel Hood Scoop on my 03 cruiser. It adhere's with 3 M tape. The tape will not not hold down in the front when the cruiser is in motion. I replaced the tape but still comes back up. Can't return the scoops because I had them painted. Has anyone had this problem and able to come up with a solution.

did you clean off all the wax with an alcohol wipe?

I washed the car and used a alcohol wipe before I applied it.

well all i can think of with out seeing them is they might be slightly more curved or less then your hood which is causing them to stress under the air load while driving. You could try moving them forward or back an inch or so to see if they align up better. If all that fails you might think of using an adhesive which will make them a permanent part of your PT. Maybe Jame's will be having another tool time and we can figure this out if we get together.

I will move it back and see if that might solve the problem. If not I will see if I can find a good adhesive.

Mine is attached with 3M tape and has been on the car for about 2-3 years and have never had a problem. Moving it around some may help.
