What's the trick on a 2001, does have chrome bumpers, tried to get it out for over an hour last night, gave up, do the bumpers have to come off or just the 2 star screws.

On my '03 I just took out the screws and pulled the assembly out of the bumper. Unless the chrome bumper interferes with things, it should just pop out.

The kid had to remove the entire chrome bumper to get to the light, he added some wire to make it eaiser next time, with the bumper cover and the pillow only about 1/2" of the bulb assembly was visible, could not even get 2 fingers in there.
