Engine Light ?

My engine light came on today and I did the key thing and got the error P2305, I checked the list on the web and could not find that error!! anybody know what that is??? (How about you Richard!!!)

I just found it online - p2305- igniton coil #2 secondary circuit-insufficient ionization ( what ever that means)??

David...I don't have a clue. I would say take to a Chrysler dealer and let them handle it. Is it still under any kind of warranty?

:-/Well my engine light went out last night and I drove to work today (17 miles) without a problem, I called the dealer and they said that they have had no problems like this and maybe it just corrected and he thought it would be ok to take to the beach. When I started home on the Interstate the light came back on and the car had no power, All I could do was just pull over, anyway, when I cut it off and restarted I could go about 3 or 4 miles and it would do again, it took me a hour to get to the dealer about 18 or so miles away, had to stop 4 times. Left the car there for them to work on tomorrow. Will let you know what they did, hope they can fix for me to go to the beach by thursday. ---------- :-/I miss it already!!! (Yea it is under warranty)

Sounds like half of the ignition coil is flaky. I think our cars have a dual coil system that fires two plugs at the same time even though only one of the two is in it's combustion state. (Wasted spark system) If it is still under warranty, they will probably just replace the coil.

Let us know what the final diagnosis is.

I got the PT back today, ;D ;D the dealer said that the code means that they would install new upgraded plugs and wires, I asked if it was a recall and he said no but there is a memo stated that if you get that code then they will replace at no charge. In other words they will fix but you have to break down first, that makes a lot of sense !!! I am glad that it happened where I could get to the dealer. ;D

:oWell it did it again!! going to work this morning the engine light came on and then it started blinking, would not go at all, had to call a wrecker and have it towed to the dealer at 7 am.

That happened to me also David. The light is the engine malfunction light. Came on and ran ruff when I accelerated too quickly .I also changed wires and did a computer code change and it stopped so far, Knock on Wood !! Hope you get it worked out soon I know its frustrating. Mine went back 2 or 3 times before they finally got it right Good luck.
