Does anyone know how to remove the lower plastic panel below the steering column and to the left of that where the rear view mirror switch is . My 03' just popped loose but not sure if the 07 is the same or not . Don't like to force stuff . Thanks

I can tell you two things:
1) Be CAREFUL as there is an air bag below the steering column.
2) It is more trouble to get the cover loose on the 07' than on the 03' but it does just pop loose (I believe from steering wheel side first). I had to take the one on my son's 07' GT off to run wires for neons. I don't remember taking the one near the side mirror switch loose but you can rest assured it either pops loose or there should be screws visible to remove it.
Good Luck,
Mike

Thanks . I'm running wires for some aftermarket driving light wires so I want to mount the switch somewhere in that area .

I mounted the switches for the lights on the 07' at the front of the console area. I used flush mount rocker switches with built in indicator lights. Worked out pretty well.

I really thought about mounting in the dash area . In the far left blank black tab that is right below the radio power button . In that same horizontal strip that has the red hazard light . Problem is I don't see any screws or anything on the silver surround and not sure how this is removed . My 03 really was easy to remove panels and things but this 07 seems to have less screws . I've found out the hard way in the past not to just pull and pry on things .
