Okay, I know that this has nothing to do with the Turbo, but our PT is the GT with the turbo so I put this thread in here.
Any way, the radio in the car loses the display most of the time. the other buttons will remain lit (while the lights are on), but the display doesnt. if the lights are not on, the display does the same thing. I have friend whose 2003 Dodge Ram does the same thing until the display just quit completely and it doesnt affect the radio out put, so I wasnt concerned. Now the wife tells me, "watch this" and she blows the horn and the display comes up. Sometimes it stays on she tells me. sometimes not. This time it didnt. Has anyone else had this problem. I wasnt concerned but now am.

Never heard of this one, and I don't recall seeing this anywhere in the forums. I checked PTDIY site and found no mention. Good luck on this one.

Probably the only connection between the horn and the radio is the fact that when you blow the horn there are switching transients (electrical equivalent to water hammer in pipes) in the electrical system that may be jolting the display to come on. Turning on the lights may have the same effect. Sounds like the display is simply on the edge of working/not working. Brian

Had a similar issue with the New (previously Loved) Dakota I just bought. (With 110K on it), ended up being the Ignition Switch. Once replaced issue was gone and everything works fine.

I had a Dodge Intrepid that had a weird air conditioner. It would work part of the time then start blowing out hot air. If you blew the horn, the air got cold again. Wife thought I was nuts until she was in the car one time and I proved it to her. ;D

My Radio had a problem like that, radio would play but none of the buttons or display would work. Then you unhook the battery for 15 min and it would reset itself, finally just changed the radio.

Well that very well could be David.Must likely though it was the way wired my amp to the radio, you should have seen it looked like a rats nest, and these are pro installers. Hope you are enjoying the radio and as always Cruise Safe.
