I am hoping that someone has an idea as to what is happening with my cruiser. I have a 03, five speed, manual transmission. When I am making " right " turns and accelrate a little the engine cuts off. I don't think I have trash in the fuel line. I am thinking maybe something electrical is breaking contact in the strain of a turn.

Your saying "right turns" makes me think of something like a gas tank fuel pick up problem. I had that type of problem on an 06 Pacifica that had to have a new pick up installed in the tank under warranty. I am just thinking out loud on this problem..probably has nothing to do with it Carrol

That makes sense to me Carrol. Along the lines of what I was thinking.

Post this question on www.ptcrew.com . That issue sounds familiar but I couldn't find anything after a quick search. Somebody there will be able to help possibly. Brian

I actually just posted the text of your post on PTCrew. We'll see what comes of it. I'll post here if I hear anything.

Did you try the "key dance" to get any codes? I'm betting on it being a cam position sensor and that it has nothing really to do with right turns. Just a guess though.
Try turning the ignition on-off-on-off-on (not to the start position) and read any codes that show up in the odometer display. (P0166 for example) the display will say "done" if there are no codes.

No I have not tried that but I will and let you know what happens. Thanks Brian and to all who offered a possible reason.

Thats what happened to mine. Its was doing the same thing and at first they thought it was a pickup/fuel pump but it was the Cam Sensor.

Very Interesting.
James, Did yours happen ONLY when you made turns?

It stated after Autofair in the fall. We were going home down I-85 and it sputtered and spit and lost power so we pulled over onto the shoulder and went to the next exit. Checked everything out and started home again.Well the next day or so it got to where it wouldn't start and by that time i had had enough and sent it to the dealership. And they found it was the Cam Sensor.
