The rumors are true. This is the best bang for the buck upgrade you can get for the turbo PT. I got mine used for $250. I'm glad because now it is $450 new. I think that is a bit much even for such a nice upgrade.
I find myself looking for excuses to drive the car again...

sounds good man.... whats your boost maxin at? It jumps to 15 and stays there until the revs get high and it drops off. I have a spring mod in the WGA but it introduces a little PTB and it also affects the BOV operation. I can hear more flutter in the intake due to the stiffer spring. I saw your pics from this weekend's show on PTCrew. What kind of pipe are you running into your throttle body. Doesn't look like the VAK. Is it a newer version of the VAK or custom? Brian

Mine has a helper spring so that probably smooths out the boost levels...I'm reluctant to go with the aftermarket WGA because of the Part throttle boost slammin pressure against the throttle plate as well as the fluttering in the intake charge pipe. I've heard it's hard on the turbo doing that because it shoves the compressor wheel against the center cartridge. Don't know for sure though.
Actually, today I held the car in a higher gear and floored it...it stayed around 16lb of boost as long as I didn't downshift.

I'm up for a mod party! Let's get it planned. We could meet in Pittsboro. James bring yours too. I bought an extra factory solenoid from the guy I got Stage 1 from. I want to be able to switch in a manual boost controller only when I want it and run the regular Stage 1 tune the rest of the time.
When ya wanna do it?
As far as the helper spring goes. Go to Pep Boys or wherever and get the Spectre Throttle return spring set. It has two chrome springs and a bracket. maybe $4 tops. I still want to work on a variable assist spring design that doesn't "help" until I need the boost at higher rpms.
