I just purchased a used set of 18" rims and it came with some Kumho 235/40/18 tires which need to be replaced. I put them on and I don't like the feel . Do you have any ideas of a smooth riding tire for a 18 " rim. PS: Must be cheap

A lot of folks would probably recommend the tire you have on there now. Using an 18" wheel requires the use of a very low profile tire to maintain the correct factory outer tire diameter. Low profile tires are going to ride a bit harder than factory and they will also show imperfections in the tire geometry a bit more due to the stiffer sidewall and tire structure. Once you get new tires, make sure your alignment is kept in good order so the tires wear evenly and truely.
Again, The Khumho's get good reviews pretty consistently. I recently put Hankook Ventus HR2s from PepBoys tires on my GT and have been pleased with the ride and performance. I lowered my car shortly after installing them but didn't do an alignment till weeks later. I wish I hadn't procrastinated on the alignment though. I got premature wear on the front tires even though the car drove nice and straight.
You might want to look for a tire that has a sidewall bead/ridge to protect the rim's edge also. The khumho's may have this already.
Hope this helps,
Brian
