Butch:
I have Kuhmos Ecstas. Have been very pleased with them.Low profile, aggressive tread, great wet or dry performance. Any quality tire is probably fine, except GoodYear. Richard PT4U2C

I have Kumho Powerstar 758's.Cheap priced tire but far better than those good for summer only Goodyear LS's. I actually have traction this year for winter. For the price of $36.00 a tire i couldn't pass them up. Tirerack.com. Take care and happy tire hunting!!

Sumitomo HTR+ !!!
Nice Profile. Good Looking Sidewall. Great Tread Design. Beefy looking compared to the 'sissy' looking Goodyears.

I too got about 45000 miles out of the original goodyears and never had any trouble with them. I guess its all in how you take care of them. I replaced mine with the Goodyear triple tread tires. We have had them on now for about 20000 miles and have seen very little wear. Excellent tire for all types of weather. I'm going to try to post a pic of them.

Sumitomo HRT+ here as well. 225-50-16's. The widest tire you can put on the stock rims. Handles well in rain or shine. But ya gotta keep 'em rotated and the correct amount of air in them or they won't last (no tire will). I can speak from experience here.

Goodyear Triple Tred here too and I really like them. Had them on over a year now and great wear as well as good ride.

Do not buy any this week, I was thinking of Kumho KH16.My goodyears did pretty well considering they were only rotated once but wet traction is not the best .
