hey guys, there seems to be more choices out now than ever. We have the always standard Borla/Mopar, Flowmaster, PaceSetter, Magnaflow, PTeazer, and B&G and now there are some new players, Dymomax and Edelbrock have cat back systems out now. We just have a Magnaflow muffler with chrome tip and it sounds good, but now we are looking at a cat back system and we can't decide. we were going to custom fabricate a side exit system but after some measuring and lowering, the pipe would only be about 2" from the ground so that's out. i really like the dual exhausts, but I just don't want to cut the rear valance, i am afraid it won't come out perfectly matched to the factory cutout, so this leaves the single exit option, SummitRacing has the dual tipped Borla single side exit on sale right now for $379.00 and change, which is not bad, but still a little pricey. I really like the tips on that muffler, they turn up at the ends so you don't have to cut the valance. if anybody is running this particular setup, please let me know how you like it and how it looks, pics would be great also. thanks

I'm running a Borla/Mopar dual exhaust,Had to cut the rear valance which wasn't really a big deal since they give you a pattern to go bye and then it's just a lil touch up around the new hole.Love the sound of the Borla.

Might not be answer youre looking for but I have the Flowmaster single exhust with simple slant cut chrome tip..not sure what size the tip is but its way larger than stock. The sound is terrific! Low power rumble at idle and when you really get into the pedal and tranny changes out gear you get a nice rumble and pop from it. And no it dosent sound like a ricer pipe. More of a growl than anything.
The installer told me that it was the same muffler he puts on Mustang GT's(not sure of part number).
I have the automatic so I dont get the dreaded drone around 3500 rpms or so,really at cruising speed you can just barely hear and feel the difference.
I have had it back to the dealer for work before and all the tech guys there absoluletly loved it,,wanted to know what kind and where I got it from and who installed.
Price for muffler, tip and install whas around $100 bucks and was well worth it.
Hope this helps!

And I have the BTG dual stainless system and LOVE IT. The cut out is real easy and you can "smooth' it out by placing some chrome door edge molding around the edges of both cut outs.
Damn...I just gave away one of my secrets. Oh well, we're all Cruiser buds aren't we.

thanks guys, i already have a Magnaflow muffler and chrome tip, I just want a complete cat back system now, that's all. trying to get a little more hp out of this thing. i have plans for nitrous later on, so maybe then at least I can keep up with a stock turbo. i don't want to cut the rear valance at all, i know it can be done and smoothed out, but I am too particular for that, it still won't match the way the factory cutout lays under the car, so if I do duals, it will have to consist of a tip that comes out and turns up at the corner of the valance, like the tips that come on the Flowmaster dual exhaust system. i had Flowmaster single exhaust on my old 02 limited, and it was more quiet than stock because it had the 3 chamber muffler and not the 2 chamber like their dual set up. maybe I'll just run it since it has the tips and all like what i would want. is anybody running this setup from Flowmaster? pics?
