i'm sorry, i just saw you wanted a price. i gave $400.00 to drop my old 02 pt with eibach's, but on our 04 i will be using goldline springs and having the pters at a tool time event drop it for me, you can get goldline's for about 150-185 if you shop around.

I bought a set of eibach for my 2005 convertible on ebay.Cost about 220, so you might want to start there.

I've got Drop Zone on mine and it lowered it 2 inches all around. I've had no problems with them and it's be lowered for about 2 years now. Rides stiffer and handles much better. Kinda handles like a race car now.
I got mine from a guy that was selling his PT and didn't want to sell it with the euro lights and the springs (which were unused). I paid $150 for the whole thing so I guess I paid $75 for the springs. I think they average around $150 or so for them.
Xtreme Machines in Hickory put mine on in a couple of hours and costed around $80 I think. I can't remember the exact price.

The Eibach are the best. But it will cost you for quality. I Feel less bumps now than with the orginal,

I used the goldline slammer kit which gives a 3" plus drop. And the car rides amazing!

If you really want to do it right, buy a set of mopar stage 1, 2 or 3 coilovers. Big bucks but you will get the right springs, the right stance and right amount of damping specifically for upping the performance of your car. If you don't want to go that route, I would recommend the Eibachs with some tokico blues for a good balanced package.

What else is involved here other than changing the springs?

If you lower your car, you -really- need to upgrade your struts and shocks. Some say the Eibachs will work with the OEM struts but even they are a compromise. The stock dampers can't control stiffer springs (a spring that lowers the car has to be stiffer to limit the suspension travel) . When I lowered my car, I used the stock struts and shocks for a while. Going around a rough sweeping turn, the rear end would get squirrely due to the shock's inability to keep the wheels under control on rough surfaces. Speed bumps were a nightmare as well. I would bottom out often.
After adding KYB struts and shocks, I was back in control. I wish the KYB's were a bit firmer in their control. The tokico's would be the perfect match I think.
You also need to get an alignment done. Lowering the front increases toe-in a lot. You'll eat tires up quickly, even though the car will still track straight. Ask me how I know.
Just decide to do it right if you're going to lower your car. It is well worth the cost to do it right and it's safer.

I've still got OEM shocks and struts on mine with Eibach springs and haven't had a problem so far, knock on wood.Tim you have to cut the boots and have the front realigned.Tony and Petey did mine. They have done approx 8 lowering kits.We can do it at Tool Time if you decide to lower your PT.
