Has anyone had any experience with the product called Turbonator? I saw the link (www.turbonator.com)here on the CPTC webpage.

Its the same thing as the Tornado , its crap, you wont get any noticable horse power gain, But your gas millage will improve, you can save money in the long run over years of usage, we sell them at AutoZone, its crap. dont get it, I can say this cause 2 of my employees have bought them and they regret it. not worth $64.99 for that price invest in cold air intake or throttle body spacer that really works.

Everyone has their opinion and here is mine. I put the tornado insert into my PT over a year ago and have been happy with the results. We have 2 PT's, one with the insert and one without. I get 4 - 5 more mpg and have more acceleration in the PT with the insert. You only notice the difference in power in the 20 - 60 mph range......not from 0 - 15 mph. Don't get me wrong, it is not like putting a blower on it, but there is a difference. Remember that you are only starting with 150 hp and any increase is good.

True, but is it worth a $70 investment for 4 - 5 more mpg I dont belive so for that money, its wiser to invest into a cold air intake or even a throttle body spacer whcih usually run around the same price and get better results.

I'd be interested in seeing what would happen if you moved the tornado to the other PT for a while. If the mileage went up comparably, I would think more of this device. Right now 4-5mpg difference is possible from one car to another with or without the device. You only said that one PT gets better mileage than the other. Did you see a change after you installed the device? How many miles were on your car when you installed it?
It's possible that the added turbulence makes a difference at lower RPMs but I'd think you'd be adding restriction to the intake at higher RPMs where the car needs more air. Less air in means less fuel in, which results in better mileage assuming you still have enough oomph to keep going. It also means less peak horsepower. Better gas mileage is a good thing these days though, especially with gas being as high as it is.
