I am looking to install a new exhaust system on my Cruiser and was looking for suggestions. What have you guys installed? I am looking for something that sounds good, is not too expensive and a place to purchase them. Oh, and I don't want my car sounding like a group of angry bumble bees like all of these rice rockets that are out on the road.
Thanks ;D

I have a muffler that looks like those that no-good-ricers have but mine is a much lower stronger sound. It puts out a low rumble that sounds really good idling and driving around. It's really loud though. I have set off many car alarms with it going though towns, parking lots and parking decks. It's cool. Might not be what you were looking for.

Hi Dreamer02:
I have 2 systems--Bassani duals, and Mopar(Borla) duals for turbo. They are not inexpensive; but, they sound good, can be made louder by removing baffels, are stainless steel, made to fit(easily), and can be bought in lot's of places. Also, you can check all of the various PT aftermarket sources for lots of others/. Good luck!

I have the FlowMaster muffler on mine 2003 Limited Cruiser. Not to loud at cruising speed like some have had the bad experience with. I believe the installer told me its the same type that fits on a 2004 Mustang GT.
Great sound on acceleration and what I like about it best is when you really get down on the gas and it changes out gears it has a nice pop and rumble sound. Idle rumble is very good sounds like a large v6 rather than the 4 cylinder.
Simple chrome slant cut exhaust tip on the end.
And it does not sound like the f@#t pipes on the imports around.
Make sure you tell installer to install it with the correct isolation. There was a guy that had the same type of muffler(same muffler different install shop) installed on his and he had to take it back after a couple of days because the resonance was so bad he could not stand it.Said it was fine for a few days then it got really bad. He drove mine and said that there had to be something wrong with the install on his cause they sent the muffler back to FlowMaster and the muffler checked out ok.

I put borla dual exhaust on up 05 gt and I love it.Did have to take it to a muffler shop and get them to add extra hangers to help tighten it up but the sound is great. Approx 500 plus tax and shipping.

Het Rooster, what kind of duals and how cheap? They are the duals I had on my PT.I put on new ones. They are in great shape and only require one weld..Hows $50 sound. The muffler alone cost more than that. They come complete with stainless tips.just cut off your muffler and weld the duals in place. Here they are.http://community.webshots.com/photo/39558692/236166098PGiOKH
