RICK YOU CAN ERASE MY OPINION ABOUT THIS BUT I AM GOING TO GET SOMETHING OFF OF MY CHEST. I HAVE BEEN TO A FEW OF THE QCC'S CAR SHOWS AND I HAVE NOTICED THEY WANT YOU TO SPEND AND BUY TO SUPPORT THEM SO THEY CAN MAKE MONEY TO COVER THEIR EXPENSE FOR RETURN TO THE BEACH BUT I HARDLY EVER SEE ANY OF THEM SUPPORTING OUR OTHER CAR SHOWS DURING THE YEAR AND THAT AIN'T RIGHT. NOW I KNOW SOME OF THEM ARE GOOD CRUISERS BUT A LOT ARE JUST #&$H&*($#.

I try not to edit or erase anything posted here especially if it's not inflammatory or threatening. I see this as an opinion and one I can't argue with.

When I purchased my PT in 03 my first thought was it would be nice to join a PT Cruiser club. A friend directed me to the Queen City Cruisers. Shortly after joining I saw that club was not for me. Disappointed I said " I will try to organize a cruiser club ". Since I left a few of Queen City's members stop speaking and acted like a spoiled child. I continued to extend my hand in friendship but found that some of the members would have no part of it. I thought if I continued to extend a hand they would come around. I found out the hard way at Return To The Beach yesterday to keep my hands in my pocket and to stay on my side of the fence. At the mall I walked over to try to build a bridge of friendship when I notced one of its members had some wax residue on his cruiser. I told him in a friendly tone he had missed a spot and he cursed me out telling me that I didn't have anything to do with what his club did. He walked over to his clubs officer and boasted to her on what he had just done and she gave him her approval. I really see what you mean Mad Cruiser 1, 2 and three I guess that makes me 4. I will NEVER support any efforts put on by that club. Mad Bluecruz

My wife and I was walking around the displays at the mall and we could smell the acohol coming off of a lot of them. She wanted me to call mall security. Next time can we leave the acohol alone while we are in the mall area.

This thread was started in response to a car show that took place early in October near Charlotte...not by actions at Return To The Beach.
As far as alcohol at Broadway at the Beach, any alcohol use outside of a bar or restaurant is considered public consumption and is illegal.

I realize this is a blog and an opinion, but I want to tell you that I have always received nothing but friendship from the folks at Queen City Cruisers. They have always treated me as an equal. I for one feel we need to try to get along with eachother even if once in a while it takes more effort than other times. Remember, the bottom line is that they are part of our Cruiser Family.

I think the Queen City Cruisers in general are nice folks and as we all do they do things a little different in their club. I was turned off several shows ago when we went to a show in Charlotte and almost everyone in their club got a Award and alot of nicer cars in my opinion and others didn't . Maybe I should have given the Queen City Cruisers another chance and I apoloize to Alvin and all the Queen City Cruisers for my bad attitude towards them.Folks here is the bottom line we as PT Cruisers are in this for the same reasons, the Love for a certain make and model of a car,Friendship,Fellowship and to raise money for several worthy charities. Like Tony said We are a Cruiser Family and without Family you don't have anything.Thank you for allowing me to give my opinion.

Just thought that I would respond to this post since I am a member of the Queen City Cruisers. Hope I don't offend anyone but if I do I apologize in advance.
I usually don't like to get involved in petty little arguments like this, but I felt that I needed to say something. Some people aren't happy unless they have something to complain about. We are a small club and do the best that we can.
First, I hope that you are not lumping everyone in the QCC in with your opinions. Yeah, maybe they are a little crude sometimes and can be abnoxious, but that is no reason to come down on someone. I am a GOD loving person and try to get along with everyone as he would want me to and I feel that some people could do a better job at that.
There is enough hate and anger in this world to go around. We don't need to add to that.
One last thing, the money we raise from shows that we put on throughout the year does go to MS. If I am not mistaken our club gave Rick a check at Return to the Beach this year. OH, and we each pay for our expenses at the beach.
