Thanks for the link Wally. I loved the sniglets, but was saddened to read the post about the passing of drag racing legend Ronnie Sox. I hadn't heard. One of my fondest memories as a young man in NE NC was going to the drags at Suffolk, VA. Espeicially whn the "big boys" came to town! Got to see some of the real classics like Garlits, Prudhomme and McEwen, Art Arfons, and Sox & Martin. When I was a cop down in Kure Beach, I got to be friends with Pat Sox and her son Jeff, and found out later that she was Ronnie's first wife. Jeff introduced me to his dad and over the years I had chance to talk with him several different times. A really neat guy..... And it seems I recall someone (I think it might have been Rick) mentioned that Ronnie and stopped by a meet & greet a couple of years ago, driving an inferno red Cruiser!

Yep, Ronnie Sox and his then wife stopped by when they saw all the PT's parked at a Jack In The Box. They had just left the speedway for an awards ceremony and was hitting the interstate back to Richmond where they lived.
Also, Rich Hall used to live in Charlotte off Kilborne Ave and was a friend of a friend. Went to his house several times. Hadn't heard his name in years.
