James, I am planning on riding or driving down as I did last time. I don't have any work to be done, but will certainly help with any project that I can. I may ride the motorcycle if the weather is good like I did before. Maybe Marcye will be able to join me this trip. I would be coming straight to your home and not make breakfast.

I'm not sure that I would be able to make this tool time but I was wondering something ..... If I were to make it to a tool time what would I need to bring.. other than any mods I had??? what I mean by this is I dont want to be a "tool" and not be able to help someone if someone is helping me. Let me know and in the mean time I'll try to get to a tool time !!!!! Brant I'm with Brant on this, going to try to make it but have the cruise and car show the night before over in Lenoir. I've got a dremel and all kinds of heads for it, and lots of other tools, anything special I should fit in the car before heading up there? I'm trying to figure out how to hook up a second horn. Bought a two-horn kit, but only the export models have two horns installed. I've already installed both, but need to figure out how to wire up the second. Any help there would be appreciated! I'm saving that piece for the tool time event, but it should (hopefully) be easy to do. The shop manual shows two horn connections off the Totally Integrated Power Module but I'm very leery about working around that sucker. I will bring soft copies of the '01-'04 and '06 Service Manuals in case we need to refer to them. Don't have hard copies, but will bring the laptop and CD's...also have the latest NHTSA investigations, recalls and TSB's for the PT too...

I think the early PTs that had two horns simply had two connectors paralleled together on the harness. You can simply run a jumper between the two positive connectors on the new horns. The ground is usually just the bracket connected to the frame of the car.

The'03's had only the low note horn; the connnection for the high note horn is there. Dealers can order the high note horn for about $30. Maybe higher now; been a while since I priced it.

Hey Tim, I've got a brake caliper painting kit I'll sell you cheap. Bought it for mine but never got around to it. I'll bring it with me. We can knock out the sub woofer too. Not hard to do. John and I did his and Sandy's and I did mine by myself. Hell of a job doing it alone but with 2 people, its not so bad.

Looks like I should be able to make this Tool Time. Please let me know if there is anything that I should bring - floor jack, creeper, stands, power tools, ramps, etc. I'll be glad to pitch in on anybody's project needing help! I have all 9 fingers and 12 toes, so am somewhat handy...
