Howdy from St. Louis! Mike & Annie, Richard & Wendy and Roger and I have had a very eventful trip so far. Unfortunately, not all good. On Thursday evening while we were traveling on I-24 W, we encounted some huge tire treads (recaps), also called "Black Gators" by the Highway Patrol! Mike was able to dodge it, but it caught Richard's tire and became airborne. It hit "Woodie" right in the front grill, dented the hood, went underneath and cracked the radiator and the neon light, traveled underneath the car and pushed up the Bassani Duals which broke the back bumper. The angels were with us and nobody was hurt. No damage to Richard's PT. We had "Woodie" trailered on a roll back to Paducah, KY (about 60 miles away) to a Chrysler dealership. They didn't have a radiator. So they rented us a STOCK 2005 PT Cruiser - Linen Gold. So off to the show we went! What a weekend! Hope to get "Woodie" back Monday and head home. Still took alot of pictures for everyone to enjoy. Also have a pictures of our hurt baby! MMISL: community.webshots.com/album/402472981"Woodie" community.webshots.com/album/402398948

I sure hate to hear Woodie got injured but at least it'll be fixed like new real soon. Hope you get back home safely, let me know if I can help.
By the way, when I told you Saturday I would be 2 hours from you...I was a little distance challenged. Actually it's more like 5 hours from you. I didn't think Paducah was that from from Cincinnati.

Thanks Rick. We are waiting in Paducah, KY until Monday morning. Sure hope that radiator comes in so we can get back on the road headed home! I've added some more pictures to the MMISL Webshot Album. A few pictures of the glow show and a very cool 1950's style McDonalds that we stopped at. A very big congratuations to Richard & Wendy and Mike & Annie for winning awards at the show! Our rental has been a good little substitute - but of course it is a PT! Mike saw a cool sticker at the show, it read: Friends don't let their friends drive STOCK! Can't wait to get "Woodie" back, head to Lenoir and begin fixing her up! community.webshots.com/album/402472981
