Becky, Please e-mail me info on setting up with Cafe Press. Cost, Quanitys, etc. We may use them for some PPTC stuff. Any set up fees? That kind of info.
Thanks.

Our registration is in the mail. This is going to be even better than last year. If you haven't seem the Christmas lights at the Bristol Speedway you'll want to make this event. PT's cruisin the drag strip and into the middle of the track plus all the lights. Just great. ;D

Some folks have asked for hotel information (on another forum) because there are so many on the list. I thought I'd copy/paste information here too, maybe it will help any over-nighter's decide where to stay...
1. I'm trying to get a group rate at the La Quinta that is on the list. It is close (maybe 1-2 blocks) to where we are having dinner which is also where we are leaving from to cruise the Speedway In lights.
2. The Holiday Inn & the Marriott are both side by side and are directly across the street from Logan's Roadhouse. There is also a Red Lobster, O'Charlies, Ruby Tuesday's (or Applebee's i can never remember which) on the same street all walking distance to these hotels. We usually go out for drinks and social after lights cruise.... something to think about. They are both a little "pricey" and wouldn't come down on their rates.
3. The Comfort Inn sits at Exit 5 off by itself, there is an Exxon station across the street. LOL! But most folks have club cards for free night stays & such.... it's a nice hotel.
4. The Hampton Inn & Days Inn are side by side at Exit 74A (that's the first TN exit you come to heading south on I-81). It is across the street from Bristol Regional Medical Center and maybe 2-3 miles from the Dealership, 8 miles from where we are having dinner. They would not give a good group rate either.
5. Motel 6 (don't say ugh!) is a 2 star hotel at Exit 7. It is about 3 years old (we all stayed there last year). It is very clean and their rooms run around $48 a night and Tom Bodet will leave the light on for ya! There is Damon's Grill right next door and Super Walmart across the street.
Ok, I should know something on the group rate at La Quinta tomorrow and I will post again. I think I've given you enough information to be thoroughly confused!

Good news! The La Quinta Inn Bristol (Exit 7 off I-81) has agreed to be the host hotel for the event! Call (276) 669-9353 and ask for the "PT Cruiser" Group of rooms to make your reservations. Group rates are $49.00 + tax for 2 double beds (1-4 people) or $55.00 + tax for 1 king bed (1-4 people). Cutoff date for making reservations at this rate is November 5th, 2005. The La Quinta is PET FRIENDLY.

Just a reminder, cutoff for making reservations at the host hotel is Saturday, November 5th, 2005. Pre-registration for the event is not necessary but dash plaques will only be available for the first 50 registered. All the information is available at www.carolinaptcruisers.com/bristol05.htm. Hope to see everybody there! I have heard from a lot of folks already. If you plan on attending, (and haven't notified me yet) please drop me an email (available on the webpage above) so I can get a good head count for dinner Saturday night. I want to make sure we have enough seating for everybody. This will also help the dealership to know how much BBQ and fixins to provide for lunch. Becky

Is everybody ready to cruise? 3 more days til Bristol Show & Shine and Speedway In Lights Cruise! I currently have 25 PT's signed up: NC=6, SC=1, TN=8 and VA=10. This doesn't count any locals the Dealership has invited so there could be more.
The dealership will have a place set up inside for us to use so you don't have to stand out in the cold all day; they are providing lunch for everybody (bbq & fixins); and will have the Parts Department open during the show with discounts for all PT Cruiser folks.
The weather looks like it is going to cooperate with us with Saturday daytime being partly sunny in the low 50's and Saturday night being partly cloudy and low around 30. So.... layering clothes is good! Hats and gloves if you plan on walking around the Christmas Village on the infield of BMS.
Friday night dinner for early arrivals will be at 7:00 PM, Damon's Grill (also at Exit 7). I currently have a count of 15 people that plan on going to dinner.(11 from VA, 2 from NC & 2 from TN). If anybody else is arriving early and would like to go to dinner with us please drop me an email or post on one of the forums so I can add you to the reservations.
Everyone have a safe trip I will be on my 2-way radio Saturday on Channel 4 and most all of you have my cell phone number. See all y'all then!

Becky, Sounds like you have a wonderful event planned again as you do so well ;D
Wish Debbie & myself could be there but can't afford the trip right now. However we WILL be joining you in May for your "Cruise The Smokies" event.
By the way, who do you have coming from SC?
HAVE FUN!
