All Cruisers going to Smokies Cruise:
I'll meet the "Down East" contingent at Exit 213 GuilfordCollege Rd. in GSO at 8:30-8:45 Friday morning. That should allow sufficient time, even with potty stops.(John & Nancy please join us if you want), and we'll pick up Sherri & Roger and the Charlotte group at exit 113 in Hickory. I hope I'm not omitting anyone--all are welcome to join us along I-40. We should be in Hickory around 10:30-11:00. Travel safe. See you all Friday.

I'm on my way to Gatlinburg (in about an hour) and I will be there all week. I will have my laptop with me so I can still get to my email. My cell phone number has been sent to all participants in a private email in case you need to get in touch with me this week! When you get close to Gatlinburg, we will be monitoring Channel 8 on the 2-way radios.
All y'all Carolina Cruisers have a safe trip this week and I'll see ya soon!

Richard, I'll *try* to meet up with you guys in Greensboro but I might not be able too...you see...I'm just finishing up working night shift (7pm-7am) that morning & I doubt I'll be up to driving after being up all night!  Anybody else I might be able to cruise with who's leaving later on in the day AND are close to my area? ( Lexington NC )  Tim |

Tony, Rocky has us meeting him at Newton Grove at 6:00....I don't think we can get there in time (with you)leaving at 5:00 from Wilmywood. I know that I can't do it from Kelly...so we may need to leave earlier...say 4:30? Tony, you picking up anybody else in Wilmington?
Tony, did you install that supercharger? You did say that you could keep up (or at least keep my taillights in sight).
Rocky, you still on for being there at 6?

Mapquest says 75 miles to Newton Grove, I am pretty sure we can be there right around 6. No supercharger yet Wally, but you forget the flames make the car think it is faster. Should be able to keep within eyesight or maybe within radio contact, mine says 7 miles. ;D

Tim:I understand about being tired after those hours. I know Mike Wright (charlotte) is coming later. Maybe you can join with him somewhere on I40. He's Rednblack on the boards, and you can check with him going together.

Sounds like you guys are gonna have quite a crowd going to TN. Be careful and cruise safe. Wish I was going but that would be too many weeksend in a row

Well, sometimes things don't go the way you planned. We have to work on getting all the paperwork done for Becky's dad so he can either go to an assisted living center or arrange for home health care so he can stay with us. This is a family matter that has to be done, and we will not be able to go to the Cruise the Smokies this time. Hope you all have a great time and take plenty of pictures.

Really sorry you have change plans, and can't make the Smokies. Having had to experience this with my Mom, I understand priorities. I wish Becky and you all the best in this, and know we will MISS you two. Take care,

Sherri/Roger.....where should we meet at exit 113? Is there someplace in particular we should look for at that exit? We'll be there sometime between 10:00 and 10:30 as best I can guess.

Wally what time frame do you think you be cruising through Newton grove area. Want to go for 6:00 to 6:30 thats fine just let me know.
