I'm thinking about trying to get a Cruiser meet going on here in my home town this year. I am hoping to get some of the locals together as well as all the CPTC and Triangles to attend. We have a huge parking lot at Roses that's in front of everyone so all can see us there. Then I thought we might cruise to a BBQ place that the company I work for is part owners in. I haven't talked to the guy yet about this but I think he would be very excited to have us come and eat and hang out. Who knows, he might even sponser some awards or something. I just thought I would pass this idea on to you all to see what you think of it. I'm trying to see about how many might want to come so I can have some kind of number to tell him. Let me know.

Gary, Try to establish a selection of dates and put 'em up for debate. Lots of things happening that affect when folks can be free....a good advance notice helps. Where is Morganton anyway? (I'm too lazy to get out the map)

Hey....If it involves BBQ...Count us in. Let me know what I can do to help.
Wally, Morganton is off I-40 between Hickory and Asheville.

I figured BBQ would hit the spot. I love it. I'm getting responses that I was hoping for. I will contact the guy this week and see what he thinks. I am thinking about aiming for May or June. Let me know if there are any other Cruiser events happening and I will make a note of that. I'll see about possibly having his business and my website sponser a few awards for the attendees. I'll talk to the Chrysler dealer here as well. I'll let you know asap when I have something.
Morganton is about 30 miles past Hickory going towards Asheville. It's a nice quiet town.

;D Well Gary you know can count us in not to mention any help getting it out and set up we're here for you. As for May it is kind of full with the Zoo and Daytona and other events maybe June would be better.

I was only kidding about Morganton...jeeezzzwhizzz....'sides, isn't Morganton famous for some Civil War battle/last stand/or something like that?
Gary, go for it.....the hotter months the better for a meet and greet.

It's a go! I talked to the guy this morning and he said sure. It'll be in June. We'll work out the details and let you know.
Well, Morganton is famous for hanging the first woman either in the state or the south, not sure which. Ever heard of Frankie Silver? That's who it was. We've got the oldest Courthouse too. During the Civil War, Vance had a camp here. There's a bunch of other stuff that I can't remember.
