I bought new plugs and Wires for the Cruiser. I have those Live Wires that I am going to replace the orginals with. Went all through the manual and realize that I have to remove the upper intake my question is to those of you who have completed this project. Do I have any gaskets on the manifold I need to replace once I remove it? How long did it take you to complete this project? I have this and the EGR Valve slotted for Friday. I am pretty handy but this isn't my old 396 Chevy engine either so.... I'm just a bit hesitant.

I don't think it has a gasket. My next project is replacing the plugs, wires and coil and have read several on lines posts in other forums on how to do it.

Well I replaced the spark plugs and wires, egr valve and attempted my new air filter.
All in all the spark plugs and wires went OK. The EGR valve was a little tricky but I finally managed it. Only 3 cuts ( to knuckles and and elbow ) Loss of blood was minimal. Thankfully.....
The Air filter is a different story. I bought one off Ebay and I guess I got what I paid for since it didn't come with the gromets for the sensor and tube. So now I have to find them or something that will work in order to get my new fileter on.
I've decided to call it a day. I have homework todo. Oh and my surging problem is still there but I've been told to run it a bit and let the computer reset. So I'll let you know.

After running it for a few days. Including driving it in to Charlotte on Tuesday. The problem at present with the surging seem to be fixed. I guess I just had to let the computer reset.
