As I write this, I'm in Miami. Tuesday set almost a record high for that date here, it was 86. Yesterday it was about 85. Today was close to 80, soft breezes making the plam trees sway. Just gorgeous. Have run the a/c quite a bit this week.
When I left Charlotte last Sunday, it was nice and I was coming to an even warmer place so I brought no coat. When I get on that plane on Friday, the temps here will probably be in the low to mid 70's. Two hours later I will land in Charlotte (hopefully) to God only knows right now how many inches of snow and temps in the mid 30's.
The weather here is making me want spring REAL BAD. In fact not just spring but late spring. When I get home I will try to get a picture of our daffodils that are blooming and now covered in snow as I've been told.

Agreed! I've BEEN ready for it! ;D Rick, don't know if you'll "check-in" here Friday morning, but its 4:30a Fri and they're saying 12in of snow and high of 34 in Charlotte. I'd BUY a coat! Have a safe trip home.

HOLY COW ! ! ! ! I landed today around noon. Susie can't drive in it. Brother couldn't get his car out of his driveway. Sister lives too far. I wound up renting a car from Avis to come home. The snow around the airport was bad enough but the more I drove east, the worse it got. I can't believe the difference in the amount of snow between west Charlotte and east Charlotte. In one spot we measured over 17 inches on our deck.
And guess what....it's sleeting and snowing here right now.
BTW....I can't find my daffodils.

OMG... I just heard on the news Charlotte got 22" of snow! Thought I'd better check the board and see if everyone is okay! Glad to see you finally made it home Rick! I got your pics yesterday and it was really just getting started then. Wow, talk about getting dumped on! We only got 6" down here in the valley and 18" on top of the mountain, just enough to make a mess and close down the office. It did warm up to 50 today and melted all the snow. Tomorrow is supposed to be in the 50's and Sunday in the 60's.... maybe I can get all the salt off the PT for the season. Everyone stay safe and warm.... Spring will be here soon!

glad you made it back okay rick. my love for snow doesn't, however much i like it, mean i want any inconvenience for anyone. my mom laughed today when i told her the schools were closed. she said "they don't even consider closing here (CO) until there's at least a foot on the ground." it's all a matter of perspective. i'm looking forward to spring too despite my comments.

I sure am ready for spring. I'm ready to get out and do some meets and cruises! I washed mine tonight. I got my bruizer front put on now and it looks awesome. I'll see about getting some pics taken tomorrow and posted here. I'll get it shined up first or course.

The only thing I hate about this time of the year is the pollen. You cannot keep your Cruiser clean for nothing. You can wash it and within the next 10-30 minutes its yellow again. Its annoying !

No, we have these trees, I believe are dogwood, but we have nicknamed them cunttrees because of the smell. Those on top of everything else that decides they want to let there loads all over everything does it.
